LoVe of My LiFe

I met a wonderful man name Perry who I have fallen deeply in love with!
We are now engaged :) He purposed 2 me on Aug. 17th 2009 @ Red Butte Garden. Our day was so beautiful, we walked through the garden holding hands. He then walked me up and over to a secluded spot with a bench and vines surrounding the lil gazebo. Holding me telling me how much he loves me... on one knee and I am just in ahhhh... not having the breath 2 say anything, we just gaze into each others eyes as he slides the ring on my finger as I smile @ him.. I then say, " uh hu" as tears begin to fill my eyes, he kisses my hand then stands up and we begin to hold each other. Telling one another just how much we love each other! Then I whisper in his ear, " I'd love more than anything 2 be your wife and share this life with you". We then walked down the trail holding hands enjoying the beautiful garden together. Walked up the trail further after seeing most of the garden and sat together on a stone over looking the city and soon watching as the sun sets :)
Was a beautiful day!

Heaven's Grocery store

Shop in Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read Heaven's Grocery Stores.
As I got , a little closer, the door came open wide,
And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels; they were standing everywhere.
And one angel said, "My Child, shop with care."
Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store.
And all you couldn't carry you would come back the next day for more.
First, I got some patience, love was in the same row.
Further down was understanding, you need that everything, you need that everywhere you go.
I got the box or two of wisdom, a bag or two of faith.
I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost for He was all over the place.
I stopped to get some strength and courage to help me run the race.
By then my basket was getting full, But I remembered I needed some grace.
I didn't forget salvation, for salvation that was free.
So, I tried to get enough of that to save you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill.
For I though I had everything to do my Master's will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw prayer and just had to put that in.
For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.
Peace and joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
Song and praise were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then I said, "Now how much do I owe?"
He just smiled and said,"Just take them everywhere you go"
"How much do I really owe"?
He smiled and said, my child, Jesus paid your bill a long time ago.

Therapy

Over the last couple of years shailis has had this negative attitude, several other out bursts, abnormal facial expressions & some emotional problems. Finally Steve & I said, "there has got to be something bothering her that is out of her control! We need to have her evaluated to find out what is going on & what we as parents can do to help her!".
Yesterday we took Shailis to her therapy appointment. We were there from 8:45 am until 12:00pm.
Her therapist is a very nice lady by the name of Mary. Shailis warmed up to her quickly and they got along well.
After a long series of questions & interactions with Shailis we were informed that she has/ is showing signs of ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), ADHD ( attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) & some anxiety.
Steve & I are now attending a class every Tuesday night for parents that have children with ODD. We elected to take parent classes & be involved every step of the way to help her!
Her therapist will continue to evaluate her behavior over the next couple of weeks before she makes a final evaluation report. Then Shailis will have to see a psychologist & primary care provider for further treatment options. However, prescription drugs is on the bottom of our list!
We are trying to target the main problem (s) with therapy, classes & more parent involvement before we take the approach of medicine.
Steve & I enjoyed the class an have began to learn a good amount of information that will help Shailis & our relationship with her.
Hopefully at the end of all this our daughter will finally be better behaved & more importantly help her with any self-esteem issues she has to help our family work better together :)

*I love you Shailis! *Mommy-n- Daddy will do anything we can to help you! *now & always*

Hexagram

Your Present Hexagram

Overview is a time for composure and contemplation. As a result of profound introspection, a hidden force reveals itself, and may influence others without their being aware of it. Do not underestimate the power of such a subtle force. Like the wind blowing across the treetops, its presence is perceived through the effect it has on everything it touches.

Shallow wells rarely strike water and shallow minds often come up empty. The ability to keep still and simply observe deepens resolve and attracts good fortune. Discern the difference between what is deep and what is surface within yourself — and you will be able to distinguish between the two in the world as well.

During a period between events, the practice of stillness with awareness is fruitful. Only by observing and absorbing the true nature of things — by apprehending the rhythms and cycles that guide all creation — can we discover the laws that apply to our own individual lives. Examine yourself and the overall situation — not just with the thought of discovering truth, but with the vision of concentrating your personal power.
